I can't leave a comment on your previous blog for some reason, so I'm leaving it here.

I think everything you feel, as far as inadequacies in being a Christian wife, etc. are COMPLETELY normal. We all struggle with these thoughts, no matter if we're raising babies, budgeting, good at meal planning, etc. There is ALWAYS some other area of our lives that must be neglected to a degree.

Just look at me! I AM NO LONGER the girl who can jet off to Healthworks, after working my 9a-5p job. Most days, I'm in my PJs all day! On the days that I'm not, I cannot wait to get home to put them back on! And I kid you not, I still wear those candy cane maternity pants...for the love...somebody save me! But these days, my house is very clean (minus the blocks and cars on my floor), and I definitely meal plan as much as possible.

When we lived in Morgantown, Jamie and I were never home...always taking off to Pittsburgh, etc. We got up on Saturdays and went to the gym, then hit Starbucks afterwards, followed by shopping and dinner later that day. Ah the life! Now? Well I'm pretty much ALWAYS home, unless I get the pleasure of going to Target to buy diapers ;)

But you know what? Back then our house was a mess! Don't you remember the spare tire(s) in what was supposed to be our dining room??? I NEVER did laundry...EVER. For at least three years, Jamie did ALL of the laundry...and I also NEVER took out the trash or got the mail. Though we did buy some groceries back then, we NEVER looked at the price of them, never made a list, and STOOD in our very tiny kitchen to eat, when we did eat at home...yeah, because we had tires in our dining room, instead of a table??? Whatever.

Our lives never look the same as they did five, even three, years ago. If they did, how boring would that be? I now have two kids, Janine is in Africa, and you went to TX, came back to med school, and are now married with a home of your own. You never know what your life will look like in another three years...maybe staying home with babies...maybe traveling all over the world...the possibilities are endless.

BTW, though we have a beautiful dining room table that we used to eat at, we are back to standing most of the time, now that we have Macy :/ We worry if we are holding her at the table, Jadon will fling peas at her, or worse, throw a sippy cup at her head :/ You sure you might want to raise babies? :P Of course you do! ;)

Love you!
